The EGT gauge additionally interfaces with the Chip Tuning Performance Module to reduce power back to factory standard power settings and therefore reduce the EGTs of the vehicle.
THIS EGT ECU IS ALSO A STAND ALONE SYSTEM WHICH WILL ACCURATELY AND INSTANTLY DIGITALLY DISPLAY THE EGTS OF YOUR VEHICLE BUT WILL ALSO CONNECT TO THE CHIP TUNING POWER MODULE AND DE-TUNE THE POWER MODULE WHEN HIGH TEMPS HAVE BEEN REACHED. (Pre-set by us or customisable)
This Exhaust Gas Temperature ECU will display current and peak EGTs of the engine.
This safety system allows higher states of tune to be reached safely without fear of engine damage due to high exhaust gas temperatures.
Fully adjustable, the unit displays the EGT within the cabin of the vehicle thus acting as a EGT Gauge as well.
If the adjustable preset trigger point is reached, the Chip Tuning Module will remap settings to run the factory tune (or any lower tune you suggest) until the EGTs have settled to a lower value. Again, this is adjustable. Then, the original tune setting is re-established to provide max power once again.
No welding of fitting into exhaust, just drill and tap the 1/8 BSPT hole straight after turbo, Loctite the threaded nut into exhaust and clamp the olive tight over the probe (all fittings supplied).
SYSTEM INCLUDES: LED DISPLAY, CONTROL ECU, HARNESS, SUPER ACCURATE – SUPER FAST REACTING SEALED TIP TEMPERATURE PROBE AND ECU CASE.
